Here's what the humans have to say about me:
It makes us very sad to share that Rae Rae is back in our rescue. This girl has been failed twice by families that promised to love her forever. Rae is a beautiful champagne colored pitbull mix. She is loving and cuddly, but she's also a high energy doggy who needs a family with an active lifestyle that she can participate with. She'd love to go hiking, running, or on other outdoor adventures with her people! She's about 6 1/2-7 years old - she was just a pup at about 6-7 months old when Rae Rae first came into our rescue. Rae Rae lost her home twice because her families had a baby (or were about to have a baby). Not because she wasn't fine with children - she has been fine with everyone she has met although she is high energy and enthusiastic. The first time she began having trouble with another dog in her home and rather than work with her, they returned her because they were having a baby and were worried. The second time she was returned, her family had a baby and no longer had time to spend with Rae Rae, and she started breaking out of her crate and pottying in the house. Rather than recognizing the changes and adjustments that a new baby brings for everyone, including dogs in the family, she was brought to our adoption event and returned. Rae Rae has lived with other dogs and has done fine with them other than the one dogs that she developed an issue with, so while she'd probably be ok with another well-behaved dog (especially now that she's older and wiser) being an only dog might be the easiest for her.
Rae Rae is a petite gal, but she's a little powerhouse! And she's a wiggler - end to end wiggles when she's happy! She loves kids and people of all sizes but might be too much love and kisses for little ones - she can overwhelm you with her love! Best couch snuggler you'll ever meet! She chases her tail when stressed or overstimulated. Rae Rae is much loved by everyone at Recycled Doggies and we are heartbroken for her that she has come back to the rescue. HOME VISIT REQUIRED - ADOPTION WITHIN THE GREATER CINCINNATI AREA ONLY. If you are interested in adopting from Recycled Doggies, please complete an adoption application through our website: www.recycleddoggies.org. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, dewormed, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
