My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Bailey. What's yours? Anyway, nice to meet ya!
Hey! Before you get attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Houston, TX but I want to get OUT of Houston and OUT of Texas so I can have a really good life. I want to see Texas in my rear view mirror. A nice person came along and took me in and, now, I am ready to hit the road to your house! Uh, make that “our” house, OK? As soon as you adopt me, I’ll be on my way to you! I am very excited to find my forever home. I'm a good girl. You'll see!

I am a Pittie mix girl. I am 1.5 years old and I weigh 50 pounds. I am house-trained. I am crate-trained. I have had all of my shots and have been spayed and I'm ready to go to my new home with YOU! Those funny-looking 2-legged creatures also say that I am microchipped – whatever THAT is.

Wanna hear more good stuff about me? OK, here goes. I am a friendly girl. I love kids and adults. And, I love to play. I mean, who doesn't? I am a very cuddly girl. So get ready to cuddle with me. OK? What do ya' say? Huh? I LOVE my peeps!.

I had a family at one point but when Hurricane Harvey hit my house was flooded and me and my parents had to evacuate to their daughter in laws house. Unfortunately the daughters dog did not take kindly to me being there and attacked me and it has left me very uncomfortable around most dogs. I am sad to leave my family but we think its best that I have my own home where I can be the only dog and the center of attention since my family doesn't think they can move out anytime soon. I am very sweet and energetic and would love to find my forever home!

My foster mom loves me SO much that she only wants me to fly to my new home even if a pet transport truck was available. See my adoption information below.

If you would like to take me home (and you know you do), please email westhoustonanimalrescue@yahoo.com and she can get me on my way to a new and loving home! My adoption fee is $650 USD and includes my vetting, spaying, microchip, health certificate, travel crate AND transportation on United Airlines from Houston, TX to areas in the Northeast U. S., North Central U. S., Northwest U. S., and Canada and will be arranged by the rescue group. (This is a courtesy posting.)
