My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome boy is Beau (aka Santo). He is around 2 years old and we believe he is a corgi mixed with cattle dog. He was returned to us because the family didn’t have time to commit to the training he needed, as Beau was nipping at the small kids when they would play. We believe he has some of the herding dog breeds in him which can help explain the nipping. I’ve talked to a local trainer and he thought with a few home lessons, or even doing a basic obedience course, would help Beau out a lot as he hasn’t had any training-exercise is also going to be important for this guy!

For now we would suggest he go to a home with kids older than 10.

An approved adoption application is required. The $200.00 adoption fee (payable by cash or check only) includes spay/neuter; microchip; dental teeth cleaning (if needed prior to adoption); vaccinations; and heartworm testing. Dogs for adoption may be seen by appointment only following an approved application. Proof of completion of an obedience class is required for all dogs following adoption. Please note: while we welcome out of state applications, we do not ship our animals and require adopters to come to Holland to finalize any adoption.
