Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATE from Winnie's foster Mom: "Winnie was dumped across from the shelter, dehydrated, starved and scared of people. She did not do well in the shelter and was fearful all the time, so she has come to stay with me. In the two weeks I have had her she has come out of her shell, still a little skiddish of men at times. Winnie appears to be a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, about 2 years old and 40#, house trained, does not do crates at all. She has been great just sleeping by or in the bed with humans, gets along great with other dogs, very submissive in nature. She is cat friendly, just goes in the room with mine and looks at them curiously. Winnie will make a great family dog, just a joy and sweet."
We have been so concerned for "Winnie" ever since she was dumped across the road from our shelter. She was extremely timid at first but has gotten a little better each day. We couldn't put her in the back kennels because she was so terrified of all the commotion. So we have kept her up front in the lobby with us the last few weeks.
We have struggled trying to help her adjust to life in a shel ter because she seems so sad most of the time.. I have been hoping to place her in foster care because I think she misses being in a home and today a wonderful volunteer offered to take Winnie home with her until we can find her forever family. What a wonderful thing she did for this sweet dog. I know she is going to blossom in foster care.
She will be so ready for her forever family....please give us a call to meet her.
If you are interested in adopting this dog please give us a call.
We know each of the animals entrusted to our care by name and we will be happy to tell you all about the personality and little quirks that make each animal so loved. Our adoption fee for a dog is $100 and that covers all shots and vetting and spay/neuter. Our animals are fully vetted before we send them off to their new family.
