update 1-18-14 Honey is still with us. She went to her very first adoption event this past weekend and she loved being around all the people and other animals. She blossomed. WE believe now that Honey is part sharpei and part German Shepherd mix. She is going to grow some more so in the end, she is going to be a pretty healthy size - no longer a lap dog for sure....she never was actually (see below). So, Honey loves other dogs. She is still a puppy so she has energy to burn but she isn't a hyper dog at all...and she does love her people. She is super intelligent and she will be a great family protector. She has been in a shelter situation so she will need just a little time to learn her house manners - but she will learn very very quickly we are sure.
HONEY girl. How we love her. HONEY had a home....get this....her owner adopted her because she wanted a lap dog and she wasn't happy when Honey reached the perfect lap size (in her opinion) and kept growing. SHE IS A PUPPY, WOMAN....COME ON!!!! So, she brought her to the shelter and told us she didn't want her any more. She is too big. At 3 months old. I have to vent here. Some people are not qualified to have pets. Not even pet rocks. That said, Honey is a really lovely girl - part Sharpei and we aren't sure what else. She is unique in every way and truthfully, she will likely be a medium sized girl when she is grown and while she would require a generous lap....you can work around that by just letting her put her head in your lap. Right? So if you can accept the fact that 3 month old puppies are NOT full grown yet and you would like to meet our Honey girl....give us a call.
If you are interested in adopting this dog please give us a call.
We know each of the animals entrusted to our care by name and we will be happy to tell you all about the personality and little quirks that make each animal so loved. Our adoption fee for a dog is $100 and that covers all shots and vetting and spay/neuter. Our animals are fully vetted before we send them off to their new family.
