Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello, hello to all my potential adopters!!! Let me introduce myself to all of you. My name is Ceci and if I must say so myself, I am one beautiful 18 year old African Grey. Since I am only 18, you need not worry about my age, I'm still considered quite young for an African Grey!! If I am fed the correct diet and am in a great environment, I can live to be 60 or more!!! When I first came to Florida Parrot Rescue, my health was in serious jeopardy. This was due to the horrible food I was being fed in my previous home. But lo and behold, these wonderful people worked their magic on me and I am down right stunning!!!
My most favorite play thing in my cage is my "swing". Let me tell you I can be quite the "swinger" on this thing. I LOVE IT!!! I do love all toys, but some of my other favorites are those things called "foraging" toys. They sure can keep me happy for a period of time. Also, my foster brother will play music and then I become a real "dancing machine". You should see how good I can shake my tail feathers. I'm quite the entertainer. Wouldn't it be fun to have me in your home??
I will also definitely keep you smiling with all of the talking I do and all of the funny sounds I make. I will start your day with a smile or a laugh and keep you amused all day. LOL!!! Another reason to think of adopting me, Ceci
As for my diet - I do love all different kinds of fruit and veggies, BUT only if I see you eating them first. I figure that if you are eating the foods that are good for you, then they must be yummy and I want some too. My foster Mommy and I are working on my eating habits. With some time, I will enjoy being on a healthy diet. Please remember, though, human saliva is really bad for me so please don't share the piece of food that you have actually been eating! Just show me how much you love it, how yummy it is, then please just give me a piece of my own.
I must let you know right up front that I DO NOT LIKE WOMEN!! Let me repeat that - I DO NOT LIKE WOMEN!! I would not be a good fit in a home where my primary caregiver is a women. NO NO NO!! Now the men, I LOVE MEN!! LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM!!! I would do best in a home where my primary caregiver is a man BUT I would do even better in a "MAN ONLY" home!! I really love my foster brother, we play together quite a lot. As for my foster Mommy - well we do respect each other as she knows exactly how I feel about women, but that is as far as it goes. Oh and I do have quite a POTTY mouth towards her and other women. You must be aware of this if you think you want to adopt me into a home with women. Probably not a good idea!!
I'm really hoping to find my forever home. A home where I can amuse my new parront(s) with my speaking ability and amaze them with my intelligence!! ( guess I really need to work on this modesty thing!!) LOL! Ok all joking aside, I just want a MAN (lol) to call my own who will respect me and take care of me, but most of all love me. Could you be the one?? Please come meet me and let's find out!

An avian veterinarian has properly vetted all birds before they are placed up for adoption. Adoption fees include the birdâs cage IF the bird has a cage - most do, but please ask!
