Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
KITKAT NEEDS A KITTEN WHISPERER: Little 8-week-old KitKat has come a long way in her few weeks at the shelter and now in foster care, but she still needs some social work, so we are looking for a special home for her. She was initially very hissy with her humans, but not a challenge to hold and love and carry about. She didn’t like it, but she put up with it, and never tried to scratch or bite. In foster care she has learned to trust more and to stop hiding, and to play with little inhibition, but she is still a cautious kitten who will need an understanding and patient adopter, and one who is committed to investing time with her to gain her trust. KitKat will learn to trust, but it will require a little work on your part. She needs a quieter home, one with no young children who would expect too much of her, and no dogs, which would frighten her. She will probably do well with a non-aggressive companion cat, but will still need your care and compassion to let go of what remains of the fears she brought into the shelter. This is important to us because we want every kitten to have a chance at a complete, happy life in the care of humans. She no longer hides from her humans, but still waits to be picked up and held, and does not come to us for love, even though once she is in our arms, she seems to appreciate it, and also likes sitting on a lap and being stroked.
Serious inquiries only, and please remember she is in foster care, so you can’t visit her at the shelter. If interested, email ClayvilleCritters@cox.net for more information and an application. You may also call the shelter at (401) 647-7200 to leave your number so that the foster family can contact you.
There is no adoption fee, as she has not yet received vaccinations or been spayed, but there is a state-required $75 spay deposit (cash or check only) which will be refunded to you upon proof of spaying. You may also choose to prepay with your vet of choice and produce evidence of prepayment.
