Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Many "Louies" in the world...St. Louie...Louie Armstrong, Louisville Slugger and even a song named Louie-Lou-i. But only 1 original and adorable mini golden doodle named just Louie!
This little 1 year old, 15 pound ball of curls is just breaking into the world. So far he decided he has some loves of his own...like playing fetch and wrestling with his toys. He even can share toys with other dogs and at the end of a busy day would not mind some serious one-on-one attention on your lap. If you like the outside than Louie likes taking a nice walk with you because he knows how to behave and walk very nicely on a leash.
But as much as he loves being a snuggler, he would prefer you leave his little feet alone. Louie is sensitive when it comes to having his paws touched so while we are getting to know each other, the foster Mom will be happy to obliged Louie in that area.
Louie had a family that had him since he was an 8-week old puppy. The family began to grow. The couple had their first child and Louie was good with him. Then a second child came along. It was a little more than Louie could handle. Louie would take the 2-year old child's toys and run and hide behind the couch. The little one wanted his toys back but Louie wanted them more.
The family realized Louie was not happy around the children anymore. A heart breaking decision had to be made so Louie could be his happy self again. The couple contacted our rescue and Louie came into foster care.
The foster Mom noticed Louie would duck low if petted on his head-so the foster Mom would approach Louie with her hand under his chin. That worked out well for Louie. Louie would also be protective of his behind-so the foster Mom was careful to leave that area alone.
Louie is currently in foster care with 2 black labs and everyone is getting along great. Louie is no alpha and that is okay with him. He has picked the male lab to be buddy's with, so wherever Shadow goes, so does Louie.
Louie is an excellent walker whether he walks by himself on a leash or with the pack.
Louie is a little one that must have someone have DOG TRAINING EXPERIENCE to give him a proper balance of correction and affection. Someone who won't back down when structure for Louie is most necessary.
Louie is a 1 year old Mini-Goldendoodle, 15 pounds, UTD on vaccinations, neutered, housebroken and micro chipped.
LOUIE WILL NOT GO TO A HOME WITH SMALL CHILDREN. THE RESCUE PREFERS LOUIE GO WITH A COUPLE/FAMILY THAT HAS DOG TRAINING EXPERIENCE.
If you would like to meet Louie, please email: homes4angels@yahoo.com for a very short application.
