My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Noodle. He is an 8 year old Minature Australian Shepherd mix. He only weighs about 10 pounds! He is naturally tailless. Currently Noodle is awaiting his neuter on December 1 and recovery before he can go to his new home.

Noodle was a beloved pet until a few months ago when his owner died. After which he was taken in by relatives who found his care to be burdensome. Noodle came to our rescue severely underweight and suffering hair loss due to the lack of care.

Despite it all, Noodle is a cheerful loving boy. He does well with other dogs both large and small, cats and humans of all ages. At his foster home Noodle has basked in the attention of humans from the age of toddlers to great grandparents with equal fondness.

Noodle has very good House manners. He dislikes crates and will cry the whole time confined. While his foster mom is at work, Noodle has the run of the house with no chewing or accidents. He lays on the back of the sofa in the picture window watching for her return.

Noodle longs for a home where he can be with his people as much as possible. As a former companion to an elderly person, Noodle is used to having people around at all times.

Noodle walks well on a leash, sits on command, rides well in a car, has great grooming and vetting manners.

Noddle is current on vaccinations and is negative for heartworms. He is on flea and heartworm Preventative.

This dog is currently located in East Tennessee. Our adoption process requires completion of an adoption application (found here: http://sodoa.weebly.com/apply.html), a phone interview, and then transport of the dog to a pick up location near you. The adoption fee is $350 plus transport costs (up to $150). Each dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm tested microchipped, and given heartworm and flea preventative.
