Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Honey was rescued during Hurricane Harvey. She is a small dog about 18 lbs and was left outside in the backyard of a home in a cage with water rising all around her. She had been kept in the back yard for the last 2 years and was never even given a name by her previous family. They did not even care enough to bring her into safety during a major Hurricane, she was left to weather the storm and try to survive on her own.
Honey is a very shy girl when she first meets people but with a little time she comes around and is super sweet. She will be next to you snuggling in no time. She is good with dogs and children. She is good on a leash and is crate trained. She loves to play and has lots of energy. Honey would make a great addition to any family.
Honey is Heartworm Positive but has been started on slow kill treatment and is doing great. She should test Negative once treatment is completed
