My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Triss is up for adoption. She is a smart sensitive mare with a lot of feel. She leads, ties, stands still for saddling, and ground ties very nicely. She stands still for mounting and dismounting. She is not a spooky mare and would make a nice trail riding horse with more training. She is green so she requires more training and someone who is an experienced rider.
Triss is an eight year old, Quarter Horse Dun mare. Her adoption fee is $500.00.
You must fill out adoption application and agreement before making an appointment to meet her. Applications are on our website www.oakdaleequinerescue.org
Triss came in as a relinquish. Her owner was moving to town and could no longer keep her. She had a missing front tooth that was never addressed. We took her to Sweet River equine clinic to have her teeth floated and at that time Dr. Sweet noticed that her tooth was completely gone. We think Triss was in so much pain at the time of the trauma to her mouth and that is why it has taken extra time to get her comfortable with touching her mouth. We had a trainer work with her mouth and she is doing much much better. Triss is ready to find her forever home.
