My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Camera (Tuxedo) and Tripod (Tortoiseshell) were rescued by a kindly landscaping crew when they were accidently scooped up by a construction bobcat during a job site clean-up. They were only 2 weeks old. They were lovingly bottle fed. Tripod has a slightly deformed right leg. Tripod and Camera are a bonded pair and need to be adopted together if possible. Camera knows how to play with Tripod without hurting her. They share everything and sleep together each night. They are never very far away from each other. Camera was the one who brought Tripod out of her shell and taught her how to play and be a normal kitten.

Camera (female) is a short haired black and white tuxedo kitten. She has half a milk mustache. She is the leader/teacher and Tripod is the follower. Camera (Camy for short) loves to play and likes to help her foster parents do anything. She loves all toys. She has a strong purr and isn't shy about using it. She likes to make eye contact and talk. We don’t know what she is saying, but she has allot to say.

Tripod (female) is a short haired tortoiseshell and tabby mix. She does have some white in her and can be considered a calico. Tripod was born with a deformed front right leg which is why she might be considered “special needs”. But having a deformed front leg does not slow her down at all. She has no idea she doesn’t have 4 legs like her sister. She runs, jumps, wrestles, plays and uses the kitty box without fail. She has a nice purr and when she wants to talk she isn’t shy about it. She is truly a wonder to watch.

Tripod does have some limitations. While she is a good jumper and has great balance, she will never be a good climber and can never go outside as she could not defend herself properly. Her little chicken wing, as we call it, is cute, especially when she waves it at you. She looks a bit like a teapot. She isn't a lap cat, we think because she can't quite get comfortable in the typical cat curled up lap position. She is much more comfortable stretched out along side of a person and this is how she prefers to be next to her foster mom. She does crave attention, but she is not cuddle kitty most likely because of her chicken wing. But she loves to be pet and she LOVES adult cats. And what is very interesting to watch is that adult cats seem to love her too, maybe because they do not see her at a threat. Maybe they feel sorry for her as they seem to want to mother her. Not one of our adult cats has ever hissed at her. They usually want to lick and clean her.

The girls are approximately 7 months old and currently living at a foster home. They are litter box trained. They have been seen by our Vet and are healthy. They are spayed and micro-chipped. They have been de-flead, de-wormed, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and had their first shots at our expense.

If you have questions and/or would like to set-up a time to visit and/or adopt these cuties please send me an e-mail with your contact info. There is a tax deductible donation which will go to Forsaken Cats Rescue, a local 501c3 charity.

Thank You.
