Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Say Hello to Miss Tater!
Rescued from a rural area at 3 months old, Tater is learning how to be a puppy! She quickly realized that she loves having a soft place to sleep, fresh water and a great supply of puppy food (she is still growing after all.) Chew toys are even better, the squeaky ones and tennis balls are exceptionally fun!
She’s still shy at first, but once she realizes you’re one of the nice people, her sweet and spunky demeanor shines through. She’s great with other dogs and kids and learning to not chase the cats, even though they look fluffy and fun. She’s kennel and puppy pad trained, can use a doggie door and learning basic commands.
Her dream owner would be someone that helps her learn not to be so shy, plays fetch and lets her nap at their feet when playtime is done. She would love to let you know when someone comes to the door or is in your backyard, then it’s back to playing or napping.
Tater was born around end of May 2017 and weighs 24 pounds currently. She is a pretty hound mix that is maybe one of our very own Blue Lacy’s. It’s the state dog of Texas for you non-natives. ;)
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas and available for adoption locally. Once Tater has been spayed, she will be available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275. A customs fee may apply at Canadian airports. Ground transportation to Colorado is available for $75, and several locations in the northeastern US for $175.
The adoption fee of $250 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines.
