Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gertie is a Black Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd. She is Slate Black & White. Gertie is around 6 months old. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. She weighs around 30 lbs.
Gertie is a sweet and spunky adorable pup! She had a rough start in life, living chained outside with the only shelter she had was a porch with frozen mud as a bed. She is now happily in a cozy home with lots of dog beds and her favorite thing, the couch! Even with her horrible beginning she is full of spirit and loves people. She enjoys walking around the house and picking up loofa dogs or toy ropes. She also loves to play fetch with a tennis ball. When she's outside she'll wander around playing with the other dogs and loves to run back to you so she can get some cuddles in while she's outside. After she's done she walks up the steps and into the house and goes onto the hunt for another toy. She'll tucker herself out and fall asleep on the dog bed or the couch and loves when you sit next to her because she gets lots of belly rubs!
Gertie would do well in any household. She loves people, kids and other dogs. She has the energy to keep up with kids and loves to play and play. She also loves to go for car rides and will look out the window or sleep curled up on your lap. She loves to play with anyone who will give her the time of day and is just looking for a family to call her own.
Gertie is not aggressive with other dogs, she has been with small, large, young and old dogs.
At the rescue we require dogs to be kept indoors. There is a $95 adoption fee for puppies, and a $85 adoption fee for Adult/Senior Dogs.
