My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I am WESLEY and I am a 4 year old cavalier mix. My foster mom isn’t really sure what I am mixed with, but she is pretty sure it was a cutie pie!  I am a little like Rudolph, different from the other Cavaliers, but that makes me special!  Just look at me!  I have one ear that stands up and one that flops down.  When I cock my head to the side, I look cute enough to be on a TV.  I don’t want to be famous, though.  I just want to find a new family to love.

My foster mom says I have the Cavalier temperament, although I am afraid of strangers.  Once I get to know you though, I feel better.  I love it when you praise me and I try hard to please.  I am happiest when sitting with you on the sofa.  If you want to cuddle, I am your man!  Since coming to my foster home, I have mastered walking on a leash and I love to go for walks.  I just need your help, because strangers do frighten me a bit. 

​I am super healthy, with no medical issues. I would love to have a new home with another dog to be my friend and a fenced yard that I can explore.  I can’t wait to meet you and start snuggling! 

​Here are some of my must-haves:

  • Fenced in backyard
  • Another dog to be my friend
  • Time and patience to help me learn to trust strangers
  • Cats are OK, but no children

I'm being fostered in Palm Coast, and my adoption fee is $400.
