Meet Candy Corn! She's a beautiful adult Pit Bull blend. She was found stray, with another dog (Heath, also adoptable). She's a little bit shy, at first, but quickly warms. Born Again Pit Bull Rescue (BAPBR) regularly works with the wonderful volunteers at the Del Norte County Animal Control Shelter located out in rural Crescent City, CA (a small coastal town on the OR/CA border). They have a very small shelter with small indoor 3x6 kennel runs, low foot traffic, odd adoption viewing hours and it rains a lot which means the dogs can’t always come outside to play -- so we want YOU to see some of their really great dogs that they have up for adoption -- it's only a short 5-hour drive from Portland to adopt your new family member!

Del Norte County Animal Control is located in Crescent City, CA. They are open Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm. They are closed Saturday and Sunday.

Adoption fees are between $15 - $95 depending on if the dog has been previously spayed/neutered and if you are adopting in Del Norte County or out of the county.

We pre-screen adopters interested in the Pit Bull Terriers at Del Norte Animal Control, and an adoption application will be required from those interested in providing a fab furever home.
