Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Roscoe Vegas’s sweetest Tripod
Hi, I am learning these days that my name is Roscoe but sometimes I still forget. It helps if you have a snack in your hand when you call me. I am also learning the words “WAIT” and “DROP”. For those of you who don’t know ---“WAIT” is for doors and “DROP” is for my foster mom’s Jimmy Choo shoes. Did I mention I am 2-3 year young, UTD on vaccines and neutered.
I came to live with my foster mom and dad about a month ago when Rottweilers of Las Vegas (ROLV) brought me over to their house with my favorite purple squeaky ball (PSB). They forgot one of my hind legs but remembered the PSB (go figure). I’m pretty sure the PSB is their favorite toy as well and we spend lots of time making LOTS of noise together. They especially like rolling it down the hallway but I never let it get far even if they did forget one of my legs. I think kids are fun because they throw better than my foster mom! It would be epic to have a backyard for you to throw it for me.
I had a really hard time coming back from surgery but I am much stronger and happier now. If only my mom would let me off lead – I’m pretty sure I could catch all those pesky rabbits that are terrorizing the neighborhood. I am not sure about cats. Don’t you think they look a lot like rabbits???
I have been working on my social skills, I just don’t understand why the other dogs I want to play with don’t like my way of nipping hello, I mean really what’s the big deal. I wish they had an easy instruction manual for this whole dog social thing? But never fear my foster parents and Trainer are helping me figure it out, I guess I just have to be patient because they said it will take time. I think I would be better off being the only dog in the house or find a sibling that is really easy going and can be patient with me.
‘Walkies’ are the best time of the day. I love my ‘walkies’ and I am learning all about ‘walkie manners’ (which means NO land surfing for my people). When my foster mom uses my special ginger lead sling (someone was nice enough to buy for me) and gives me short breaks we can be out for a long time.
Car rides are fabulous and getting in and out of the car is easy. My foster dad’s truck is a bit difficult but they got me a ramp that makes it better. I’m trying to convince them to cover it with red carpet but they just don’t get the joke.
The best kind of Sunday is hanging out on the sofa with my foster mom and the NFL. She is a Giants fan and asked me if I wanted to change my name to Michael Strahan. I was all for it until I realized my foster dad lives for the Cowboys (and my foster dad is a fabulous cook). I think I will play it safe and become part of the Raider Nation. I think I could totally rock the skull paint and already have the black going-on. My mom does have some good football recipes though. Her peanut butter Kong at half time is the perfect tail gate snack.
I am a good listener and will always keep your secrets if you can give a good belly rub. I LOVE belly rubs even more that my PSB. I heard that chicks dig scars so I like to roll over on my back to show them my scar. It’s awesome and I always get a quickie belly rub (SCORE BIG). It’s rumored that I once didn’t breath for 2 minutes and 51 seconds during a particularly well deserved belly rub for being a super good doggo. Just sayin… belly rubs turn a frown upside down.
But I don’t always roll over for a belly rub…oh wait…YES I DO
Did I mention that I am handsome, charming, potty trained and am accused daily of being extra sweet? I can use the crate only if absolutely necessary but because of my hind leg they forgot to bring with me it is really hard for me to get comfortable inside one. My foster mom thinks I am wonderful but she has no back yard and too many stairs for this to be my forever home.
