Hunter is a 8-year-old neutered male chocolate lab. Hunter weighs 95 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.
Fencing: Needs fence either physical or underground.
Hunter & Gauge are from a suburban area and have not been exposed to traffic, noise, or groups of people. If dogs are overwhelmed by their environment, they can exhibit behaviors like excessive barking. To avoid this, for now we are limiting placement to stand alone single family homes in a suburban neighborhood or rural area. As we learn more from the dog's time spent in foster, we will evaluate if placement can be expanded to include a more urban environment and send out an update.
Dec 3, 2017: Hunter & Gauge, bonded brothers from different mothers, are looking for the perfect home for Christmas! They are approved for kids 5+, are obedience trained (at least a little), get along with other dogs, love to snuggle and will fill that hole in your heart. Please consider adding a pair of pups to your life.
Nov 3, 2017: Hunter and Gauge have arrived at their foster home and are charming everyone. They ride beautifully in the car, loved getting a shower (Gauge even tried to get in with Hunter 😊), blended seamlessly into the resident 4 dog pack, and are just the sweetest boys!
Oct 19, 2017: Hunter & Gauge are easy going friendly and love to get attention. Gauge seems to be the leader and the first to meet you to get attention. Hunter will come up to you to get petted and give kisses after you meet Gauge. Gauge likes to retrieve toys Hunter is willing to watch him and comes over to find out what he has. They are enjoying being inside but still like to go out and explore the yard to play. They would like a to have a family that is active and can give them love, attention, and exercise Gauge & Hunter are a bonded pair they came in to the shelter together and Hunter does not like to be separated from Gauge.
