My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Teej is a special dog.. he has a calm, sweet exterior.. hes polite and affectionate.. He has a ton of dog pals and if after spending a fair amount of time with him you'd say hes a very easy going, extremely handsome and wonderfully soulful, friendly boy... & you'd be 100% right!
He is all that!!! We have also seen him when he worries.. we haven't figured out yet everything that concerns him... We know the usual dog phobias of thunder and fireworks but there's more.. and as yet we just aren't sure what sets him off sometimes.

When he worries hes always inside ... we've found that getting leashed and taken out for a walk easily resets his brain.. he goes back to being a wiggly soft smiley dog!

There have been mornings we have come in and found TJ inside a tiny coat closet that houses stacks of storage boxes... He finds ways to self soothe when he feels afraid but were concerned that his options are always safe ones! We've put a camera on him so we can watch him at night and 95% of the time hes fine!!

So our beautiful sweet TJ is a bit of a puzzle... we are picking away, doing our best to sleuth out the triggers, find ways to desensitize him as well as help him discover safe remedies for his fearful episodes!!

TJ is a fabulous dog who has a weird phobia that manifests from our perspective rarely but randomly! We are exploring all options including creating a somewhat soundproof crate ( anyone with ideas and experience in that please let us know) Stay tuned for updates !
