Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING—This dog is not in foster care with BAPBR and we make no guarantees about his/her health or temperament. We are providing a service to Del Norte County Animal Control to help with adoption. Please contact the shelter directly if you are interested in meeting or adopting this dog – their info is below.
Sensitive, loving lapdog seeks patient person! Quilla may not be the most social dog you’ve ever met, but she’s certainly one of the sweetest. It takes a little time for her to warm up (especially with men), but once you win her trust with gentle meets, greets and treats she’s affectionate and loyal—before you know it she’ll be begging for belly rubs.
Quilla came to the shelter in November 2016, after a prickly situation with a porcupine. She knows basic commands, but her leash manners still need a little work. Luckily, she is eager to please and very treat-motivated, so she learns new things quickly. She’s young and active, and daily exercise is essential. She also likes to stay as close as possible to her people, so snuggles are a must.
Quilla would prefer to be the only pet in a household without small children. She ignores other dogs on walks and has no known history with cats, but due to her shy nature she would most likely do best in a mellow, low-traffic home.
Born Again Pit Bull Rescue regularly works with the wonderful staff and volunteers at the Del Norte County Animal Control Shelter located in Crescent City, CA—a small coastal town on the OR/CA border. The Del Norte Shelter is a limited facility in a rural area that's often at capacity. While the dedicated staff and volunteers that run the shelter offer the dogs as much comfort and compassion as possible, they struggle with low budgets, aging buildings, small indoor kennel runs, odd adoption viewing hours and low foot traffic. If you're considering adoption, the folks at Del Norte have a wide variety of wonderful dogs looking for homes to call their own and they're ready to help match you to the right one!
The Del Norte County Animal Control Shelter is open Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm. They are typically closed Saturdays and Sundays though sometimes offer special weekend adoption hours.
