My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hudson here, I got to Texas as fast as i could so i could find my forever home. My owners were sad to give me up but they could no longer care for me. I am a purebred, sable and white collie and I am 2 1/2 years old and a tall guy, but terribly underweight right now. i will probably be around 70-75 lbs; it takes time to put on 30 lbs. I am kid friendly and probably cats as I have been around kittens and cats. i would love to have a home where all family members are active and will take me everywhere they go. i did have a broken hip when I came into rescue and it is healing but I still limp some; it is not known at this time if the limp will go away as the hip heals; I have not let it slow me down. I am neutered,current on shots and on heartworm preventive. I am crate trained but not fully house trained. I am a good rider and walk well on a leash. I am also microchipped. i do need to be in a home without male dogs, but a female doggy playmate would be great. An adoption application can be found at www,dfwcollierescue.org. Once your app is received your references will be checked and a home visit scheduled. There is an adoption fee and a small fee to register my microchip.
