Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Brielle is fostered in Sheboygan WI through United Yorkie Rescue http://unitedyorkierescue.org.
Brielle is a 7 mo. old 4.5 lb. sweet yorkie girl. She came to United Yorkie Rescue in July after being dropped off at a Chicago Heights shelter as a 3mo. old very sick puppy. She had to be immediately taken to the vet because she was limp and clearly unwell. After some blood tests and urine tests, she was diagnosed with Microvascular Dysplasia, but has not shown any clinical signs. Brielle will require regular monitoring and a special diet for life. She is on Hill's K/D Prescription kibble diet, no medication has been needed. She can have low protein, high quality treats only. https://www.acvs.org/small-animal/hepatic-microvascular-dysplasia
Brielle will require a home with another small dog in the home that she can bond with. Her home will need someone home most of the day, who is experienced with training puppies and familiar with the Yorkie breed. As she is small (her current 4.5 lbs. is her ideal weight), she children under 12 will not be a good fit. Brielle is VERY fast! She absolutely needs a fenced in yard where she cannot escape. She can fit thru small openings/spaces like a mouse, and if there is a child or another dog on the other side of your fence, she won't hesitate to get to them! Right now, this is the one time she won't come when you call her. She needs someone very dedicated and experienced. She's up to date on shots, and has had her spay.
Brielle knows her name; she will come when you call her, is doing pretty good at "kennel up", and is working on sit and stay. She's been working on leash training, and successfully house trained, although regression and re house training will likely be needed in her new home, normal when making an adjustment. She's very treat motivated which is helpful.
Applications will be accepted for those who fit her needs as described above.
Applications for Brielle can be completed at our website http://unitedyorkierescue.org.
