My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

“Help This Old Dog PLEASE “... is the plea we all see, but after the dog gets rescued many who demanded action go silent and the rescuer is stuck with the task of vetting, training and rehoming. It is not that we are complaining, we are a rescue after all. but in this case, it was an individual who acted to save old man Blue. Despite many people saying they would help in some way, the rescuer who got Blue to safety was stuck with a large vet bill. A friend of mine contacted our rescue and asked if we could help in anyway.
This is Blue’s story: He lived for nine years with his owner, unfortunately the owner got sent to a nursing home. And the guy’s family put Blue out on a chain, how wonderful is that :-(
Blue was out on the chain for a year and is now 10 years old (yay it so easy to find a senior a home). He was not neutered and had two masses that needed to removed, fortunately neither was cancerous. To complicate things even further he is now HW positive, most likely from not getting any vet care ever . Anyway, the vet told my friend it would be better to keep him on the slow kill treatment due to his. All that aside, Blue is one sweet and easy doggie. All he wants is to sit on your sofa and cuddle with you. He is also trained to handle a lawn mower, lol. We tested him with kids but would prefer to place him in a home with older children .... for sure there is somebody out there who would like to give him a forever home.
