My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Hi, my name is Spike!  I'm a handsome young cat who loves to play. My favorite game to play is laser pointer chase.  I haven’t caught it yet, but I know I will someday if I keep trying. I was found with my mom and sibling when I was just 3 weeks old.  A wonderful couple kept us safe until they could take us to The Kitten Nursery.

I'm an independent young cat, so I will need a patient family that will respect my space and give me plenty of time to adjust to my new home. I currently live with 2 other cats, 2 dogs, 3 young children and my foster mom and dad. I like to sit close by and snuggle up on the bed at night. I will also hop on the couch and like to have my head and back scratched. However, I prefer not to be held. One of my cat friends is kind of a bully, but I don’t mind. We like to play, cuddle, and sleep together. I am friendly with other cats and respectful dogs, and would enjoy having a friend to play with in my new home. I would do well in a home with children as long as they respect my space and do not try to pet me unless I seek out their attention.

I am great at using my litter box, and I keep myself very clean.

All of my shots are up to date, and I have been neutered, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

Will you consider giving me a forever home?  With a little patience and a lot of love, I think I could really learn to like...maybe even love humans!
