Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet Iris came to us after her human mother passed away. Shelter life was tough on her as she was used to the comforts of a home most of us take for granted. While she remained her friendly self she was often scared. After a thorough vet visit Iris is back living the good life. She enjoys lounging with her human companions and has a great appetite. She is getting back her full coat as she recovers from some prior flea issues.
Iris is around 4-5 years old (our best guess) and comes spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated (rabies/distemper/bordatella). She has tested negative for heartworm and for fecal parasites and is current on heartworm preventative. She is fully grown and weighs about 12 pounds. While she does well with kids and other animals she would prefer a quiet environment in which to enjoy her retirement.
Iris' adoption fee is $350.
The first step to adopt Iris is to read all about adoption with Happy Tails Rescue Inc. and fill out an application. If we think your home sounds like a good fit we'll be in touch. Click here to go to our web site: www.happytailsrescueinc.org/adoption-available-dogs

Happy Tails Rescue Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit foster-based rescue based in Northwest Indiana. We have no shelter, all of our animals are cared for in loving foster homes until their forever home match is found. All of our animals are fully vetted before adoption, including distemper, rabies, and bordatella vaccines, a heartworm test, fecal test, microchip, and are spayed/neutered. If you're interested in meeting one of our animals please fill out an application first. If approved we will then arrange a meet and greet. Happy Tails does not do same day adoptions because we do a short home visit to make sure our animals are being placed in safe environments.
