My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dakota is a 3-year-old German shepherd. He is good with other dogs, but would be best as an only dog or with another active dog to play with since he can be pretty persistent when he wants to play . He loves belly rubs and will flip over for a belly rubs at every opportunity. Because of his energy level and size, he would probably do best with older children rather than toddlers. Dakota really does love attention and to be around his people, so a home with someone who is retired or works from home would be ideal for him.

His faults include being thunder phobic and being a little food motivated. He will steal food off the counter or table if you turn your back to it. His foster family is working on this issue and he is doing better, but his adopter will need to followup with this training.

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, on heartworm and flea preventative and have been microchipped. We require all of our dogs to be kept as inside pets and we only adopt out within a 2 hour radius of Knoxville, TN.
