Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please read entire description.
Tycho is a year and a half old Shepherd mix.. He is approximately 30 pounds. He is neutered and up to date on all his vaccines and vet visits. Tycho is crate trained, potty trained, and knows basic commands very well; he is extremely food motivated. Tycho is looking to be rehomed to a Person that has experience training difficult dogs and is able to provide him with lots of exercise and love. He will need a home with no kids, no pets and the ability to exercise him daily. Fenced in Yard a must or a Farm to run around on would be excellent. He loves to go for walks and play fetch in the yard...
He needs someone that with be strong with him and give him the training he needs
Tycho has been at a trainer for last 5 weeks , trying to see what makes him tick. We have found out that he really doesn't like other dogs, he will play with a female dog at the trainers house but not so sure about other dogs, has no problem with cats. He is not a cuddling type dog, he likes his space, but does listen to commands very well.
Tycho is a reactive dog, This has caused to him act out and occasionally nip or mouth at his handlers when he is either afraid, possessive, or feeling uneasy with a situation. Tycho's past incidents stem from the fact that he needs a stronger handler that understands his limitations and is willing to work with him to build trust. His original owners have not been able to do this .
He has been fine in the Trainers home, when he is one on one. As soon as he gets into a crowded situation he gets nippy. The ideal place for Tycho is with a single owner that can give Tycho the time and the space that he needs. A farm setting would be ideal, but we know that doesn't always happen.
If you can give Tycho a home please let me know.
