Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweetie is a small female Chihuahua mix. She is approx 10 lbs and 1-3 yrs old. Sweeties adoption fee is $400 and includes spay, microchip, vaccinations and parasite treatment up to date.
Sweetie is a LOVE, but shy at first. She was a little shy with me, but was a lot more shy with my boyfriend. She comes around with treats very quickly, and now loves both of us. But definitely shy with strangers to start so maybe abused/handled roughly before. For this reason we suggest no children, or older mature calm children.
Update: sweetie has been in a foster home with a male and female abs has bonded to both, so it doesn't seem she has preference to either gender
Sweetie is vocal. She may seem the typical "small yappy dog", but I see her more as a "talker". When you get home she will bark like crazy in anticipation - but - she is usually very good at quieting on command. Sometimes when playing she can get over excited and bark as well. For this reason, Sweetie may not suit an apartment, but would be ok in a town home etc.
She can mouth when playing but is very gentle. She really loves to cuddle and be petted. She loves to play with toys.
Overall, Sweetie is an AWESOME dog, and most "issues" raised above are more "be aware of" rather than actual behaviour problems with her.
HOWEVER.
Sweetie is NOT completely house trained. Sweetie WILL pee outside. But she was previously pee pad trained in Korea and she is having no luck breaking that habit. She will pee outside first thing in the morning, and then pee again on a pee pad a couple hours later. If you remove the pee pad she will have an accident. For this reason, she is most suitable to an adoption where someone is home almost all the time, or where they are ok with using pee pads anyway.
