Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bill is a Beagle mix. He is a neutered male that is around 8 years old. He is heart worm negative and up to date on his shots. He spent his younger days as a working hunting dog and lived on a farm where he was retired. His retirement days found him getting into trouble with birds around the farm so he was brought to the shelter. His owner reported that he would get out of the fence and kill the birds.
Bill was not at all comfortable with the shelter environment and spent his first few days pretty scared. He caught the eye of a volunteer who brought him home to foster and help him find the right home for him.
His owner stated he is good with other dogs, kids, but not so good with cats. He is leash trained and housebroken. Bill has been in his foster home for less than 24 hours and he is now asleep on the den floor. Bill has his own kennel area and play yard for day time hours. He took advantage of some sun bathing on his first day. He made no attempt to escape from his yard.
Bill really likes to follow his nose, the one thing he always used in his younger days. He would really love to go to a “barn hunt” class or some other trial competition so he can show just how good his nose is! Bill said he may be a senior but he is not done!
Bill enjoys getting attention and being petted. He made friends quickly with the 4 dogs at his foster home. He socializes very well. He is a really great little guy that will benefit greatly by having a nicely fenced yard to keep him home while he follows his nose.
He is neutered and UTD on all required vaccinations. He is microchipped, heart worm negative and on a heartworm and flea preventative.
Please email movethosepooches@gmail.com if you'd like an adoption application. Meet-n-Greets and interviews are only scheduled once we receive your completed application. We do not have a shelter location. Our dogs are in foster care in the Knoxville/Athens/Cleveland or Chattanooga area. Thank you for considering a rescue pet!
