My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Posted 10/23/2017. Douggie and Duke are two senior doxies that were taken to a local animal shelter after their owner passed away. They are allegedly 14 years old. Douggie is smaller, about 9 lbs. and Duke weighs about 12 lbs. Both of them are fully vetted including blood work (senior panel) to check for any potential disease - all was normal - and extensive dental work. Their teeth was the biggest problem and they have to be on softened kibble. Douggie is arthritic but he gets around fine and the supplements he is on are helping. Both LOVE to eat, go for strolls and snuggle in a cozy dog bed. Both get along well with other dogs, Duke barks when strangers come to the house but overall both are very well behaved. For the two we are looking for a home with a securely fenced in yard, other dogs about their size and not too young are fine. If you are interested in giving Douggie and Duke a loving forever home please fill out an adoption application on our web site or e-mail ask with questions you may have. Pictures will come soon. An adoption application has to be filled out prior to setting up a meeting. Their adoption fee is $200. No small children please.
