Here's what the humans have to say about me:
HARLEY is a sweet and kind 4 year old brindle pup. Harley is one of the nicest dogs that you could meet. He loves all people and is great with all dogs, big and small.
Harley has had a rough life though. In 2014 he found himself in a kill shelter. Poor Harley almost did not make it out. Thankfully there were some nice people who were his angels and his life was saved. He made it out of the shelter and into a foster home with other dogs. He did very well there. Soon after he was diagnosed with heartworm. He was treated but it was not a fun 3 months for Harley. Once he was medically cleared, he was adopted into a family with kids.
He did very well in his home and he loved his kids. One month ago his family moved and did not take Harley with them. Needless to say, Harley was heartbroken. He wound up in another home with someone who could not keep him longterm. He then went to a third home.
At that time we found out that Harley was left behind by his family. We searched high and low for him until we found him. It turns out that the last family could not keep him either.
He is now back with the rescue, safe and sound. He is still the wonderful pup that we know and love but he is a little sad. He does not understand why he was abandoned AGAIN.
Harley is in a temporary foster with 2 other dogs. One is a 4 lb chihuahua. He also lived with 2 miniature pinschers for 3 weeks.
Harley is the perfect pup. He is people and dog friendly. He is great on the leash, no pulling or reactivity to dogs or people. He is that rare find that can fit into almost any home.
If you are interested in meeting Harley for foster or adoption please fill out an application at best friend.petfinder.com or email bestfrienddogadopt@gmail.com for further information.
