Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
URGENT: This beautiful Lady is looking for her last home. Her owners passed away and now at 14 she is looking to spend her last 10 years or so with someone who stays at home and doesn't have too much excitement going on. She would be great for a retired couple or a retired single. She is house trained, spayed and up to date on shots. She loves to cuddle and be with someone all day as that is what she is used to. Please someone find it in their hearts to love her during her Golden Years. She is healthy and runs around like a 5 year old. She is Shihtzu/terrier mix and about 12 pounds. She is a gorgeous little lady. Please help......No adoption fee, but donations would be greatly appreciated.
The donation fee helps offset the needs of the other dogs at our rescue and the expenses incurred on this little gal.
We require a fenced yard if there are kids under the age of 12 in the home. Adopting a dog that has been moved from a home to a shelter and then to a rescue is not for everyone. It takes time and patience to make that dog feel at home in his new environment. It takes at least 1 week and usually up to a month for a dog to acclimate to your schedule and home. An animal shelter is the most stressful place for a dog to be, with other dogs barking and not knowing what is happening around them. Some dogs come to their new home scared and timid. They will sometimes take several days before they start eating and have anything to do with the new adopters.
PLEASE, if you aren't willing to work with your new rescue and let them get to know you at their own pace, please don't apply for one of my dogs. Returning a dog within 24-48 hours of picking it up is hard on the dog and hard on the rescuer. Go to a breeder if you want a cute little puppy that wags its tail when he sees you. He hasn't been through what a rescue dog has been through.
It's not easy rescuing a dog. It takes patience and time and LOVE. These dogs need love and understanding, not another rejection.
