Tina came to us at about 5 days old with the kitten version of a cold (upper respiratory infection). But her eyes were not yet open, and the virus had inflamed her eyes. Her left eye was most affected and it is growing smaller and smaller. She will be prone to constant eye infections until one (or possibly both) eyes are removed surgically. And she is so precious!
We are a small all-volunteer kitten rescue. We take the tiny orphans that shelters reject because of the time commitment and expense raising infants. (It is just like raising your own two-legged baby. Up all night feeding, etc.) People drive as far as two hours each way to bring us kittens because no closer shelter will take the tiny ones that require so much work and money. And we save them!!!
Tina is looking for a home. She will have surgery at about 4 months, but she is ready to go to her new home now at 8 weeks. She will come back to us to handle the surgery, probably in mid-January, but you could have her now. If you know of anyone who might love her, please contact us. Blind kittens compensate with other senses for the eyes that they lost. As long as she is kept indoors all the time, Tina can have a great life.
Please donate a buck or two to precious Tina: the price of a candy bar, a Coke, or a plain coffee. We are a very small charity and desperately need help paying her medical expenses. Please go to generosity.com and pull out your credit card to give Tina a dollar or two (or $5 or $10). Because we are an IRS-approved charity, you can deduct any money that you donate to Tina.
Click here to donate. Any amount will help save Tina. We especially hope to get some little donations, which will show others that it is OK to just give a small amount. Tina is now staying with a family who will probably adopt her. But you can still help save her by donating a dollar or two to her crowd-funding.
