Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Spindle is this year’s miracle kitten. We got a call about a dead cat and we went to investigate and there in a parking lot we saw a small skeleton with gray fur lying out in the open. When we approached we saw that it was an emaciated kitten. We scooped him up and called the vet. None of us had much hope for his survival as he weighed just a little over a pound when he should have weighed 3 pounds. We gave Spindle a great deal of TLC. Then a miracle happened. After a week he had gained a pound and was on his way to be the healthy kitty he is today. He is not only healthy, but very sweet and purrs when anyone enters the room. He likes to roll and have his tummy rubbed and he plays hide-n-seek with his foster mom. He really is enjoying life. He has the biggest ear tuffs. He was folically challenged for a while and was so ugly he was cute. But you know what happens to the ugly ducklings, they turn into beautiful swans and Spindle is now gorgeous with the fluffiest tail. His foster mom could dust the house with his tail.
I think when miracles like Spindle occur that it means that he survived for a specific reason and is meant to find that special adopter to bring joy to and spend a lifetime with.
Spindle (male) is a gray Russian Blue mix with medium to long hair. He loves to play with toys and will self-entertain himself. He gets along well with the other cats at his foster home. He is a talker. He doesn't exactly meow, he sort of says ouch without the ch sound. He is about 6-7 months old now.
He is litter box trained. He has been seen by our Vet and is healthy. He has been fixed. He has been de-flead, de-wormed, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and had his first shots at our expense. He is also microchipped.
If you have questions and/or would like to set-up a time to visit and/or adopt this cutie please send me an e-mail with your contact info. There is a tax deductible donation which will go to Forsaken Cats Rescue, a local 501c3 charity. Thank You.
