My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Raven arrived at the shelter in early October -- she had been abandoned and was being cared for by Good Samaritans until they realized they should get her to the shelter before the cold comes, in hopes she can find a real home again. She's a very sweet cat, loves attention from her human friends at the shelter, and enjoys finding a quiet place to observe the younger, more playful cats when she is out of her cage. She can be a little cranky with the other cats — though she doesn't fight with them, she will hiss or squawk if she feels her space has been invaded. Her black coat has reddish-brown highlights, and she has lovely yellow-green eyes. She really does love to be doted on, and should make a good companion for people, and though she probably won't bond with another cat, she will learn to live in harmony with one. We're not sure what she thinks of dogs yet, but if you're interested in Raven and you have a dog, please let us know and we'll get her opinion as soon as we can!

Raven is estimated to be 6 years old, is box-trained, spayed, current on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. Adoption fee for adult cats is $50 (cash or check only, please).
