PENNY ANNABELLA (TENNESSEE )

Penny Annabella is a 5-year-old, 5.4 pound Yorkie girl being fostered in Ashland City, TN.

Little Penny is a wonderful pup. She came to us from a shelter where she had been taken after being hit by a car. Sadly, Penny's eye was damaged beyond repair and had to be removed. The Vet believed she was blind in the other eye and referred her to a doggie ophthalmologist for evaluation and Penny saw them today. They confirmed that the accident must have damaged both eyes because Penny is indeed blind in the other eye too. She had a detached retina and the damage was to severe to be repaired so Penny is completely blind for life. But do not feel sorry for this sweet little girl because being blind does not hold her back in the slightest.
Penny is a wonderful dog. She is not only small and beautiful she is off the charts on the sweetness scale. She is house-trained. She rides well in a car. She walks great on a leash and finds her way easily. She is great with other dogs and humans. Penny will likely need eye drops in her remaining eye for life and annual pressure checks with the eye Dogtor to make sure all is well but besides that Penny is just about perfect. All she needs now is a FUREVER HOME to call her own!
