My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi im Charlie and im a 2 1/2 year old purbred Silky Terrier. My owner brought me into the vet to be euthanized because i was marking my territory in the house. What did she expect i wasnt neutered and was living in a house with female that wasnt spayed either? Of course i would pee in the house. If you think thats sad, a year ago one of my back legs got broke somehow and my owner took me into the vet and the vets amputated the wrong leg. Can you believe that? The wrong leg! So my owner was forced to take me to MSU and have a plate and screws put in my only leg in the back so i could have a somewhat normal life. My owner finally decided after much begging from the vet, staff and Pawz 4 Life administration to sign me over and allow the rescue to find me a wonderful loving home. So here i am safe and in rescue waiting for a family to come and adopt me. I am such a sweet boy. I get along great with cats, smaller dogs and kids. Im not a big fan of big dogs. They tend to scare me and i think they might step on me. I am now neutered and up to date on everything. Now that im neutered i dont mark in the house. I do have to be on a special food just for now to loose a few pounds. The vet feels it will be much better for my back leg if i were to loose a few. We would love to see Charlie in his new home for the Holidays.
