My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cookie is a 3 year old dachshund mix weighing 15 pounds. She is originally from Texas and has not had the best start in life - she was tossed from a moving truck which caused her to lose her left eye (it had to be removed surgically). A sweet elderly lady found her and cared for her while she was recovering, and now she has moved to Massachusetts and is looking for her forever home. She does OK in a crate but will bark to let you know she'd rather be hanging out with you. She loves cuddling and sleeping in bed with her human. Common sense dictates that humans should be careful approaching her from the side with the missing eye as she may be startled. Otherwise she is a fun little lady and would make a great companion for someone looking for a new best friend!

Adoption fee is $400, which includes spay/neuter, microchip, USDA transport, vaccines, health certificate and Massachusetts mandatory animal quarantine.
