Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Can there be any mistaking this boy as none other then one of the Fab Five?? The family resemblance is striking. However I think Skeeter may be just a touch more handsome then his litter mates (but then I admit to bias.) The Fab Five are a litter of five siblings recently turned into rescue when the original owner was unable to sell them. They were all well fed and healthy, but needed more focus on socialization and training.
Like his other litter mates, Skeeter was a tad on the uncertain side when he first came to me. He had clearly been well cared for, but was accustomed to life surrounded by the comfort of his siblings and was not sure what to do without them. Over time however, he has become less insecure and is now exhibiting the independent and rambunctious nature you would expect from a 6 month old puppy. He has a sweet side to him however, and wants nothing more then to sleep at your feet or snuggle in your lap. This boy should be a wonderful family dog since he has such a good off switch. However he will nip when he is excited and wants attention, so would need to be monitored around small children.
Manners come hard for most puppies and Skeeter would be no exception. While he tries hard to remember not to jump or counter surf, sometimes he just can't help himself!! However, he was very quick with both house breaking and crate training and is now accustomed to sleeping through the night in his crate. He gives every indication of being a quick study with a biddable nature and should do well with a little more structure and focus on basic training.
Skeeter is very good with all my dogs. He shares his toys, plays tug and is often the first one out the door for a romp when given the opportunity. I have many dogs here and insist that any dog that joins my household be capable of mingling with everyone with no cross words or possessiveness. It's a high standard, but one that Skeeter met with ease. We're still working on the cat....
Skeeter is vet checked, neutered and up to date on all his shots. All he needs now is a family of his own.
