My story

Hello. Rex here. I am approximately 2 years old and I weigh around 62 pounds. I am a bit thin and am putting on some weight since I’ve been here. I am here because my person became homeless. He did the right thing by me and brought me here. I will admit I can be an intimidating guy. I like to use my deep voice to scare new people I meet. But don’t let that bark fool you! Once I get to know someone and I feel I can trust them, I am a silly, overgrown dope! I love to play, and tuggy is my game! Taking walks are great too. I learned to like a lot of people since I have come here and the more I meet the better I am at it. I will admit that some new people and things scare me and will cause me to act inappropriate sometimes. But given the chance, I will become your loyal friend! Because of my size and the fact that new things and fast movements can scare me, I would rather live in a home without children. Maybe teens would be okay. I have not met any of the other dogs yet, except through the fence. I also haven’t meet Ned, the resident cat, but when I do, I’ll let you know how our meeting goes. If you are willing to be patient with me and allow me to warm up to you, I’ll be your loyal friend. Call soon so we can meet!
