My story

JONAH

Jonah is a fawn colored 1.5 year old male Australian Shepherd mix weighing approximately 24 pounds.  He was rescued from a hoarding situation with about 39 other dogs.  Consequently, he lacked socialization at a very young age and is therefore very fearful of humans and typically doesn't like to be touched, picked up, or held.  Jonah has, however, slowly bonded with his foster mom to the point where she is able to pet him, pick him up, play with him, and put on a harness/leash.  He also follows her everywhere.  Jonah is house-trained, likes to play with other dogs, loves his food, chewing on his nylabone, and gets very excited about going for walks...although he does pull on his leash.  Jonah needs a very special person that has the time and patience to be with him, praise him, love him, gain his trust, and teach him new things.  He is a sweet dog that deserves a second chance.
