Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Raleigh, guesstimated to have been born in February, 2017, is an Australian Shepherd mix. He is very sweet, and as you would expect, very smart. His foster dad says he is a quick learner and he likes to snuggle. This athletic guy will need a yard with a fence at least 6 feet high to keep him contained and safe. Also, he would not be a good fit for a family with small children. He will do better in a home with older children as he is quite exuberant due to his young age and high energy level and might accidently knock small children over. Raleigh is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and being kept on heartworm and flea and tick prevention to maintain his good health. If you would like to adopt Raleigh, the first step in the adoption process is to fill out our online adoption application. Please visit www.arfarkansas.com to find the link to our on line adoption application on the right hand side of our home page. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember our organization is staffed completely by volunteers.
Note: All applications are processed in the order received, but an adoption is made to the best application received for each of our animals. All applicants must provide a vet reference on the adoption application. If you are adopting a dog from ARFA, a fenced in yard for the dog will be required. Home visits often occur on each adoption. ARFA has the right to deny adoption to any applicant for any reason without explanation. Please remember that the adoption fee is not for purchase of a dog, but rather to cover the medical cost of all dogs in our care.
