Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Harry
Breed: Terrier Mix
Approximate age: 2 years old
Sex: Male
Approximate weight: 50lbs
Currently living at: Foster home!
Meet Harry! Harry is about 2 years old and is a sweet old soul! Harry came to us from a kill shelter in North Carolina. He is unsure why he ended up in a scary shelter but is thriving in his foster home!
Harry’s foster mom says: “Harry is a very special dog. He loves people - always wants to greet new people and gives great kisses. Harry is comfortable with everyone - men, women, and children. He is a good-natured boy, undemanding, a great companion for quiet times at home where he snuggles with us on the couch or amuses himself with toys, but he also loves adventures, long walks and running around in the yard being active. He wiggles all over when greeting us when we return home. Harry wants nothing more than to play a game of fetch with you
and then cuddle up on the couch after to take a nap!”
He is learning some commands and is learning "proper dinner table etiquette. He is good on the leash and enjoys going for a nice long hike. His favorite thing is to roll around on the grass or even on the street when the mood strikes. Harry is crate-trained and quiet in his crate.
This old soul, independent, yet loving boy likes to take the leash of his foster fur siblings and walk them around the house! He’d do great in a home soaking up all the attention as an only dog. Harry gets excited to meet new people and is still learning polite people greetings for example... no bear hugs and make out sessions at first site.
Harry says “Hello there! Pleasure to meet you! I am loving life here in NY! I enjoy spending my days playing fetch and going for a hike then taking a nice long nap after! I have been told I am a handsome boy and can’t say I disagree! My foster family is great but I have heard about this thing called a “forever family” and I would love one of my own!
Harry is fantastic with all people he meets! He is dog selective so he needs to be the only dog in the home.
So if you think you would be my best forever family, go ahead and fill out an application today! I can’t wait to meet you!
