Soi is a typical mixed breed, mid - large sized dog that the dog meat trade breed to use them as food. They are typically very easy going, good natured, intelligent and loyal. Because they are easy to handle and naturally trust people in general, the dog meat trade people choose them to be their choice. It's truly sickening and heartbreaking!
When Soi was first noticed about a year and a half ago by a couple of photos circling around amongst our rescuers, he was terribly emaciated and looked sick. One of our most reputable dog meat rescuers/ financial donor saw her, and immediately moved him to a rehab facility where he could regain his health. They worried about his health condition,, but fortunately, he was quite healthy and gained weight quickly. He's been under the care of loving caretakers, a trainer and many furry friends in the same situations who are also staying at this rehab center.
One of Soi's best friend Sadie was recently adopted to a family in Northern VA and Soi is hoping that he can also find a great family in the area that will take care of him. Soi is friendly, playful, gets along with everyone including dogs, cats and people and she weighs about 60 lbs. He is also fully vaccinated and spayed.
He will do very well in any family size situation especially if you are familiar with dogs weighing around 60 lbs. Please consider adopting Soi and making him part of your family! If you would like to apply to adopt Soi, you can fill out an application here:
