My basic info
Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Han is the name, and chattering your ear off is my favorite game! I'm a whole 3 years young, but I got the basics of being a bird down already: chirping, throwing my food all over the place, and pooping all over my favorite human! My foster mom has been trying to "potty train" me but it's a work in progress. I can't help but forget to mind my poops when I'm having so much fun on her shoulder! (just think, it could be YOUR shoulder!)
I was hand raised by humans, so obviously I must be a human too, not this "cockatiel" thing people keep calling me. I don't like being in a cage and I will scream my lungs out if you leave me there! Humans don't belong in cages! I can be very loud and noisy if you leave me alone, bored all day, but when I'm out and about in my foster mom's room I do become quiet with some distractions. No time for screaming when I'm chewing up cardboard boxes and finding where the humans hid the millet!
Speaking of millet, did I tell you I love millet? I regularly eat a mix of seeds and pellets, but my foster mommy has been trying to make me eat more pellets and begging me to try all sorts of weird new things called "fruits and veggies." I'm not liking them too much, they're a bit weird and scary but I might give them a nibble eventually.
Luckily for other humans, I am generally good at not nibbling other "non-food" things. My foster mommy says I'm very nice and friendly. Once I get to know you, I will promote you to the honored position of "human who is allowed to serve me with head scratches" and tilt my head in the cutest way to entice you to fulfill your new role. It's a very important job! My itchy pinfeathers don't scratch themselves you know!
Right now though, there is an even more important position in my life that I need someone to take up: I need a new forever caretaker-human! Someone who will love me, feed me, and put on a nightlight for me when it's night night time (or else I get night scares!) One who wouldn't mind having me out and about with them all day. The job benefits include enjoying my excellent whistling abilities and basking in my general presence. A good deal huh? Come apply and visit me sometime to see if you qualify for this position!
The wonderful people at FPR made an Amazon wishlist for me so the awesome supporters of FPR could possible buy a gift from it for me!
