Brielle is fostered in Sheboygan, WI through United Yorkie Rescue http://unitedyorkierescue.org.
Brielle is a 3.5lb. 3mo. old Yorkie girl who came to United Yorkie Rescue in July 2017. Brielle was left at a Chicago Heights shelter and had to be immediately taken to the vet as she was limp and clearly unwell. After some blood tests and urine tests, it was discovered she has either a portosystemic liver shunt (surgery would be needed) or microvascular dysphasia (diet & medication to control). Since her initial vet visit, she's been confirmed to have Microvascular Dysplasia, but has not shown any clinical signs. She is on the Hill's K/D Prescription kibble diet, no medication is needed. She is also able to have lower protein, high quality treats and hopes are her forever home is willing to do research and make home made quality food to meet her medical needs.
Aside from her condition, she's a spunky little girl and definitely a "people doggie"! She loves running around the yard, and following us wherever we go. Brielle is up to date on her shots and has been spayed. Brielle knows her name, comes when called, is doing pretty good at "kennel up", and is working on sit and stay commands. She is also working on leash training, as well as house training, which is coming along nicely! She is very treat motivated, which helps, she should be a great little girl with tricks and obedience if her home is patient and takes the time to train her.
She is young yet, but will be a small dog, so kids that are older and understand how to respect and interact with small dogs will be necessary. This little angel just needs to find her forever home how, she has lots of puppy kisses and snuggles to give!
