My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Curtis, I am 3.5 years old and weigh about 38 pounds, I am a lab mix. I have quite a bit of energy so would do best in an active home. I get along well with other dog friends, not so sure about cats though. I like to go for walks and play on the new toys that we have here at the rescue

Curtis is a sweet young boy with a lot of your typical happy go lucky affectionate lab qualities. Our best guess is a lab mix. He loves to go for walks and even for bike rides. We'd suggest that Curtis go to a home with kids over 10 years old as he is still working on not jumping and realizing his size. We pulled Curtis from another shelter in Flint, MI. The staff is currently working on commands with him as well as not pulling when on the leash.

An approved adoption application is required. The $185 adoption fee (payable by cash only) includes spay/neuter; microchip; dental teeth cleaning (if needed prior to adoption); vaccinations; and heartworm testing. Dogs for adoption may be seen by appointment only following an approved application. Proof of completion of an obedience class is required for all dogs following adoption. Please note: while we welcome out of state applications, we do not ship our animals and require adopters to come to Holland to finalize any adoption.
