Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bailey is 3.5 years of age. She is up to date on vaccinations and spayed. She was turned over to Rescue as she does not do well with young children. We have some ideas on why this might be happening and she will be seeing our Vet to have some tests run to see if we can find the problem. She is however, good with the other dogs here and I've had no problem with her. She is quite overweight and is on a diet. Test results will be posted once we have the tests run and have the results back. Given her laid back and seemingly sweet nature, we feel that there may be a medical issue causing her problem. She tries to avoid young childen when they are present here. She will move away from them if allowed to do so. We also need to have her checked for some potential orthopedic problems which may be causing her to be a bit cranky as well. Bailey has seen the Vet and it has been discovered that she has severe arthritis in her knees. She may have had a cruciate problem or patella problem in the past. However, at this time she does not seem to be a candidate for surgery because of the arthritis. She has been put on Glucosamine and MSM and this seems to help quite a bit. She is happy, she is playing with the other dogs and generally enjoying life. Being overweight is her worst enemy so she is on a strict diet. It seems to be working as she has lost 1.5 lbs. so far. We would still like to do a thyroid test but they are expensive and we need to wait a bit.
