Miss Daisey is the rare little dog offered to ARF on 9/18/17 for re-homing who has actually had regular vet care! She's been well cared for by her family, who brought vet records at the time of surrender. When Daisey's owner called about surrendering her, she said that Miss Daisey is shih tzu and terrier. Although ARF can't be sure of her breed without DNA testing. Miss Daisey looks more Yorkie and chihuahua. Miss Daisey was born in late January, 2017, and her vet records show that she has been given all of her puppy shots and received a rabies shot on 5/17/17. She is 7-8 pounds, housetrained, and a real cutie. She was started on heartworm prevention when she was 6 months old. Miss Daisey was surrendered because her older owners have great-grandchildren who come to visit, and Miss Daisey was guarding her toys and her food with them. She may need some training in that area or perhaps not to be placed with small children. She seems very intelligent and she likes people, though she's a little unsure and scared at being uprooted. The family who surrendered her say that she has been with a labradoodle and another large dog owned by family members and that she played with both dogs. She has only met one cat, they said, an older cat who simply lies around; Miss Daisey sniffed her and walked away. This cute little girl needs some cuddling and some loving training, but she's worth it! What a lovely pup she is!
