Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Willie the Wonder!
Willie was brought to a high-kill shelter with badly injured hind legs. The shelter thought maybe he was hit by a car. This injury led Willie to only being able to drag his back legs, he couldn't walk on them. To make matters worse, Willie is also blind. The shelter was on the verge of euthanizing him when we swooped in and rescued him. We knew this guy was going to be special.
With a lot of water therapy in the bathtub, Willie slowly began regaining strength in his back legs. One year later, other than a little tiredness in the legs every so often, one would never know that he had hind leg issues! He truly is a miracle. Willie loves to run and play with other dogs. He can entertain himself for hours by tossing his toys in the air and then trying to find them (remember again, he's blind!).
Willie has memorized his foster home and can get up and down stairs and in and outside with no problems. He is potty trained (but of course all dogs need an adjustment period in a new home) and he sleeps all night in his crate.
Willie loves walks and also loves sitting in your lap while you are watching TV. He really is a cuddle bug.
Willie does great with kids and other dogs (he seems to prefer female dogs but could be fine with either).
It's time for this miracle boy to find his forever home! Willie is approximately 2 years old.
